Last Visit to Dragonsinger

Dragonsinger
Dragonsinger at Yat Lift

It's our last day in Bodrum and there are few final chores we need to complete. I pack one more box with the things that would not fit in our bags. After breakfast we take a taxi to the post office and send off our last box to Canada. We then take the Dolmus to the Yat Lift boat yard to finish the last few projects on Dragonsinger.

When we arrive I confidently strike off through the boat yard, confident that I know where Dragonsinger is. Suddenly, Allen says "I see Dragonsinger". I'm about to turn to him and tell him that it can't possibly be Dragonsinger, we are not even close to where we left it two days ago. I look up and it is Dragonsinger. The boat yard had moved the boat to a different spot and I congratulate Allen on his good spotting skills.

We finish up on Dragonsinger, then take the Dolmus back to Bodrum. Karalee and Jocelyn want to do some shopping, so Kevin, Allen, and I walk back to our hotel. On the walls of the hotel are "evil eye" medallions. You see these for sale everywhere in Turkey. They are supposed to ward off evil spirits.

The kids spend the rest of the afternoon having a final swim in the hotel swimming pool. I relax in the shade with a newspaper, before heading to our room for an afternoon nap. It's now less than a half-day until we will be onboard an airplane heading back towards Canada.

Last Dinner
Last Dinner in Turkey

The boys are tired of eating out, so we pick up a pizza for them. They settle into their room for a final movie. Jocelyn, Karalee, and I head back to Sunger Pizza for our last dinner in Turkey. We have an early start tomorrow, so we eat early by Turkish standards (before 9:00 PM). We sit on the roof of Sunger Pizza as the sun sets lighting up the masts of all of the sailboats in the marina.
