Decisions

David
David in Vancouver

I was the driving force behind our choice to take two years to live on a sailboat and cruise the Mediterranean. It has been a challenge to adjust back to "normal" land-based living. It has been even more difficult to decide what to do with Dragonsinger, our Jeanneau 43DS sailboat.

I spent the fall of 2003 researching options for what to do with Dragonsinger. We have decided to bring Dragonsinger back to Canada. We are going to use Dockwise Transport to ship Dragonsinger from Palma de Mallorca, Spain to Vancouver. Dragonsinger is currently in Bodrum, Turkey, so in a few days I will be travelling to Bodrum to prepare Dragonsinger for the 1,100 NM (2,000 kilometre) trip from Turkey to Spain. The trip means that I will be gone from Karalee, Jocelyn, Kevin, and Allen more than at any other time in our lives. While this gap will be difficult on all of us, it is hard to describe how much I have missed Dragonsinger since we returned to Vancouver last August.
