Sunday Barbeque

Barbeque
Cooking in the Sun

Every Sunday there is a BBQ at the Marina Cap Monastir clubhouse. It is a chance to get together with other cruisers to enjoy a lengthy Sunday lunch. The weather continues to be sunny and warm -- just what we were expecting in Tunisia. Everyone is still wearing shorts and it's hard to stand next to the BBQ when it is giving off so much heat under the mid-day sun.

We sometimes find it hard to get organized for the Sunday BBQ, but we still make the effort. We have to be up at 8:30 to get Allen to tennis by 9:00. Then Karalee and I go for a run, before making a quick trip to the market for whatever we are going to cook today. It always seems a rush to make it there by 1:00 PM.

Doug and Sara
Doug and Sara from Mindemoya

Doug and Sara from the sailboat Mindemoya come from the United States. We briefly saw them last year when we were in Barcelona for seven weeks. We never met there, but Sara remembered us from some of the cruising meetings that we went to. We remember Doug from the Barcelona net meetings where he often had something to contribute. Sara is a yoga expert and here in Monastir she hosts a class once a week that both Jocelyn and Karalee attend. This Sunday is a chance for us to sit with them and share experiences.
