Leaving Reggio for Lipari, Italy
We left Reggio on a bright, sunny, and calm morning headed for the Aeolian island of Lipari. We arrived in Lipari after lunch and spent an hour touring the town while we waited for the fuel dock to open. With a good weather forecast we left Lipari in the late afternoon to cross the Tyrrhenian Sea. Our goal was the Sardinian provincial capital of Cagliari, situated on the southern end of Sardinia.
