March, 2008: San Diego - Part II

Exploring North

Our first day in San Diego we focused on heading south, exploring Coronado, and getting out to Point Loma. All these locations are near Little Italy, were we were staying in downtown San Diego. For our second day we headed north past the Mission Bay and the San Diego Aquarium until we reached the beaches south of La Jolla.

After La Jolla, we continued north. We passed through the Torrey Pines Golf Course, home to an annual PGA Golf event, passed the University of California at San Diego (UCSD), before coming to Del Mar. We stopped for lunch, took quick walks on the local beaches, under cool grey skies, before returning to our car to head further north.
