A Walk Along the Thames

I find it amazing that in a huge city like London, you only have to travel a short distance to feel like you are in the country. After leaving Hammersmith Bridge, the walk follows the Thames River, surrounded by trees and greenery.

The day that I took this walk, I could hear the sounds of a school team practicing football (or soccer as it's called in Canada). I could also hear the sound of the water, birds singing, and the trees waving in the wind. What I couldn't hear was the sound of traffic from one of the largest cities in the world.
