Hyde Water Mill

After a fulfilling dinner and a good nights sleep in Stow-on-the-Wold, Kerry made sure that by 9:00 AM we were on our way out of town. The start of our morning walk was along a busy road, but thankfully this was one of the few times in our five-day walk that this was to be the case.

Our walk took us through the Nether Swell Manor. After the Manor, we passed the Hyde Mill.

Sheep

After leaving the mill, we worked our way through a number of fields. Before long we were walking next to fields filled with sheep. Much of the historic wealth of the Cotswolds came from the sheep trade. It is still an important part of the economy.
