UN Security Council
UN Security Council, New York

A tour of the United Nations, includes a visit to each of the three main councils that make up the UN. The security council is the one that you hear about in the news the most often, but in many ways it is the least important of the councils at the UN. To bring better peace to the world, the UN is focused on raising the standard of living and human rights for all citizens of the world.

When you leave the UN tour from the General Assembly Building, be sure to look at the various outdoor sculptures. There are many interesting sculptures that entice us to think about our place in the world and how the UN is trying to change things for the betterment of all of us.

Thanks for talking this short New York walk with us. To return to the start of our walk, find East 50th Street and walk East until you return to St. Patricks Cathedral.
