Point Atkinson

Point Atkinson is a well recognized landmark in the Vancouver area. The lighthouse is located in Lighthouse Park in West Vancouver. The light itself is one of the brightest in the region. On clear nights, you can see the Point Atkinson light from the Gulf Islands.

From the water, Point Atkinson is wonderful to view. From the water's edge, one gets a great view towards the North Shore mountains. In the summer, it is common to see cruise ships heading for Alaska from Vancouver Harbour slowing down to allow guests to see Point Atkinson.
